“TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST AND TO MAKE HIM KNOWN”
FELLOWSHIP NEWS
A number of people are struggling with a variety of
issues at the moment. In particular please remember Margaret who
broke her leg in the snow. Her leg is still not healing and she will
be off work for at least another six weeks. Joan C has been taken
into hospital and it is not clear yet just what is wrong. Dave
continues to be OK in Zambia. He has been doing a lot of driving of
the 4x4 vehicle they use. He will shortly be going on the first
expedition to some of the more remote villages so please pray for
safety in driving. Thank you for your continued prayers and
practical support for each other. Give thanks for the recent growth
in numbers attending the Ladies Fellowship. Over the past two weeks
four new ladies have joined the fellowship.
LINDA & HAROLD RUSHBROOK
Linda has had a pain free time last week, much to Harold’s relief
as he had to travel back to Romania. She is however sleeping a great
deal. Harold was able to do all he needed in Romania and is now back
with Linda in the UK. They are so grateful for your continued
prayers and other support.
BEETLE DRIVE AND FISH & CHIP SUPPER
Some 35 folk enjoyed a great time last night.
Congratulations to Janette who came out victorious completing
“beetle” in the final round.
WHO LET THE DADS OUT!
Next Saturday morning, in the church hall, we will
be running a “Dads & Toddlers”, complete with bacon sandwiches, from
10am to mid day. It is open to any carers of young children,
preferably the dads and granddads, who want a place to bring come
with the children while Mum is able to have a bit of time to herself
in recognition of Mothers’ Day.
CHURCH MEMBERS AGM & DEACONS ELECTION
The next members’ meeting is on Wednesday 24 March.
The agenda will be posted on the church notice board by Sunday 21
March.
HOLIDAY CLUB – GOD THE BUILDER
Plans are now well advanced. Thank you for all the
help in providing materials for the holiday club. We are still in
urgent need of a good number of shoe boxes if you are able to help.
If you can help with resource preparation – Saturday 3 April in the
church lounge from 10.00am to mid day please let Ali know.
Invitations went out on Tuesday to the Kingsquad and the following
day to the Pilgrim School. The first booking was returned within a
matter of minutes! Praise God. Please pray that there will continue
to be a great response. Places will be limited to the first 50 so if
you know of a child who wants to come in school year 2 to 7 make
sure they get their application back promptly.
