FELLOWSHIP NEWS
Welcome back to those who have been away over the summer. We trust
that you have had a relaxing time and are refreshed for all the
activities that recommence this week.
Congratulations to Kelly who obtained the grades she needed and so
will be off to university in a few weeks time. Please pray that she
will find good Christian friends and settle in well to her studies.
A Church Prayer Diary is available in the foyer. There will be a new
issue each month. Each day you are encouraged to remember folk in
the church or a church activity, something in the wider local
community and an international issue. And for those who already have
your copy, yes, there is no 31 September! That will be run on to 1
October.
KINGSQUAD
This group, school years 3 – 6, continues to grow in numbers and 7
of the children attended camp this summer. As we start back this
week please pray for leaders and the children, that all will be
aware of our living God.
YOUTHGROUP
An exciting development is the launch of a new youth group, as yet
to be given a name. There are a good number of youngsters who are
now too old for Kingsquad so we are commencing a new group for them.
The nursery room downstairs has been brightened up to provide a
better area for them to relax in. Please pray for this group and
their leaders, Tony, Pat, Carl and Suz as it develops over the
coming months.
FELLOWSHIP LUNCH
Trevor Cox, a representative from' Tools With A Mission' will be
speaking at the Ladies' Fellowship. Many of us have garden tools,
haberdashery, even sewing machines etc which can be refurbished and
used in Africa. This will be an open meeting for anyone to attend
including men. Please come and find out more and then go home
and sort out all those tools that are lying idle!!!
Dinner will be served at 12-45p.m. Please let Joan know TODAY if you
would like to be included.
ALPHA FOR SENIORS
This continues on Friday mornings at 11am and will include a light
lunch finishing by 1pm. If you are interested please speak to Monica
or Joan. Do feel free to invite a friend. There is no charge.
NEWS FROM ROMANIA
Please remember the team in Romania. After the long summer of
children’s camps they are all very tired, particularly Harry, Wilma,
Vio and Dani. Harry is now waiting for a heart bypass operation. As
well as blocked arteries he has been diagnosed with a further heart
complication so this is a very stressful time for them all and they
would really value your prayers.
