“TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST AND TO MAKE HIM KNOWN”

FELLOWSHIP NEWS

Thank you for your continued prayers. Maureen continues to recover from her operation. She is so grateful to everyone for their cards and support and sends you her thanks. She would welcome visitors. Sylvie T has been unwell in hospital with appendicitis and Joan C was taken in to hospital but released that same evening. Dave arrived back safely from his time in Zambia. If you have the stomach for it he as a great DVD of his bungee jump and gorge swing. He and the team did also manage to do a great deal to serve the communities he visited. A number of folk will soon be off to help at children’s camps. They include Dave, Tim, Andy & Jane and Kelly and Hanna (from the parish church). Please remember them in your prayers along with the children from Kingsquad, six in all, who are also going to camp this summer.

CAFÉ CHURCH

The service this Sunday morning will be the first in a series of three where we explore together alternative ways of worshiping together. The last church members meeting agreed to trial this for three Sundays over the coming months with a view to making worship more accessible to children and newcomers. Your input and feedback is valuable so please speak to any of the leadership team if you have any comments.

SING FOR FUN

This was great fun and hugely enjoyed by all those who came to the first session. So do come along to the church on Friday at 8pm. Let Graham, Hazel or Tony know if you plan to come along so that you don’t get locked out!

CHURCH POLO SHIRTS

There is an opportunity to buy good quality polo shirts with the BBC logo embroidered on them. They will cost no more than £12.66. Due to the response so far the final cost will actually be less than that. If you want to order one please sign TODAY on the list in the entrance area – please remember to choose which size you want. We will place the order early this week.

SINGING FOR FUN

Don’t forget the next opportunity to sing for fun, which will be on Friday 23 July. Please let Graham, Hazel or Tony know if you can join them.

ALPHA FOR SENIORS

This will now begin on Friday 30 July at 11am and will include by a light lunch finishing by 1pm. If you are interested please speak to Monica or Joan. Do feel free to invite a friend. There is no charge so it has to be good.
