Men's Fellowship
We believe there is a need for men to get together for no particular purpose but to get to know one another better and put the world to rights – because that is what men do! To this end Tony Aylward created ‘First Wednesday’. The plan being to meet at the church on the first Wednesday of the month from 7 pm onwards. We eat together either food we have brought from home or from one of the wide variety of takeaways in the village. There is no agenda although Tony might throw in a topic if discussion falters. No need to book a place, just turn up!
Other than First Wednesday the Men of the church have got together on many occasions and for a variety of reasons including watching Gillingham play football at Priestfields Stadium, eating copious amounts of Curry at the White Horse pub and preparing a "Bigger Breakfast" with guest speakers about health issues.
In January 2012 we plan to start an evening of singing for fun. An evening for all who enjoy singing whether you can sing or are tone deaf! We also plan to start "Who Let the Dads Out on a Saturday aimed at the male carers of under 5’s
